The Northeast Florida Geocachers Association is open to anyone interested in geocaching in the Northeast Florida Area.

How to Join NEFGA

Joining NEFGA is a simple, painless 2 step process. First, fill out the Membership form. This will send off an e-mail to our Membership Director with all the personnel data we need for our records. Second, go to our forums and create an account. When the Membership Director gets your email, you will be added to the "NEFGA Member" usergroup. That's all you need to do to become a member of NEFGA, and have your stats listed on our Hall of Fame.

Becoming a Voting member requires one additional step. You need to pay dues (currently $5.00 per person). The easiest way to do this is to click on the "PayPal Donate" button on the Forum menu. This will send your money straight to the Treasurer. Or you could get the money to the Treasurer is some other way, such as giving it to them in person at an event. After dues are paid, the Treasurer will add you to the Voting Members usergroup. This will grant you access to the special, Voting Members-only forums.

NEFGA Mission Statement:

The Northeast Florida Geocachers Association promotes the sport of geocaching, educates new and continuing members in the sport and provides fun, creative and educational "event caches". The NEFGA is a central place for the sharing of geocaching-related information for Northeast Florida.

What is Geocaching?

Geocaching is a fun adventure game for the whole family using GPS technology. All over the world people set up "geocaches" and share the location coordinates with others. There are a simple set of rules that keep the game fair and safe. There are hundreds of geocaches right here in Northeast Florida. Click on the link below to go to Geocaching.com and find out more about this fun activity!

"New NEFGA Coin! - The 12 Counties of NEFGA", posted by IceCreamMan on 04/13/08 05:10 02 PM

NEW NEFGA COIN!!!!!
The 12 Counties of NEFGA
NEFGA is issuing a new set of coins with an individual coin for each of the 12 counties in NEFGA's area. There will be 100 of each coin made. They will be trackable on Geocaching.com under a unique NEFGA icon.

The designs were created by NEFGA's own designer, StressMaster. The coins will be 42mm in size and will have an antique silver finish. They will all have the NEFGA logo on the font in 2D with an individual back for each of the 12 NEFGA counties. The individual backs will be cast in 3D.

Coins may be ordered in complete sets or individually. However, supply is limited and orders for complete sets will have precedence.
Coin Order Page
We will initially only be taking orders from NEFGA Voting Members. Then we will open it up to all NEFGA Members, then to other organizations in the State. If we don't sell out, we'll post in on the gc.com forums.

We will send Paypal invoices once we have enough orders to place the order for the coins.

"Daylight Saving Time", posted by Dave and Michelle on 03/09/08 06:50 22 AM

Daylight Saving Time has started again. To ensure that the times you see in the forums are correct, you must go into your profile and change your timezone. For most of NEFGA, that would be changing from "-5 Eastern" to "-4 Atlantic." Thank you and we'll see you again in 6 months or so to do it again.
